JOHN IRVIN YAKE

John Irvin Yake of Ossineke, Michigan, age 81, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor. John Irvin Yake was born to Madeline (Poirier) Yake and John W. Yake on Feb. 11, 1942, in Alpena, Michigan. John was drafted into the Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. He specialized in Ordinances and Supply. John worked at General Motors as a millwright/welder during the peak of Flint’s auto industry days from 1963-1994. After his retirement, John spent much of his time visiting with family and friends. James Lee Maciejewski, 75, of Alpena passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Born on April 29, 1948, in Alpena to the late Ferdinand and Leona (Sabourin) Maciejewski and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Barbara Weise on April 29, 1972. Jim worked at the Besser Company for 49 ½ years before his retirement in 2018 and was a member of All Saints Parish. Stanley “Stas’” Lewandowski, age 74, completed his earthly journey on May 24, 2023. He was born Oct. 16, 1948 in Alpena to Anthony ‘Tony’ and Irene (Szymanski) Lewandowski. He was a devoted and caring husband and father. Taking care of his wife Pam, supporting his girls, and loving his grandchildren brought him immense joy. Raymond John Lipski, Jr., 68, of Alpena passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at home. Raymond was born Oct. 16, 1954, in Fort Lewis, Washington to the late Raymond and Herta (Guth) Lipski. He served in the United States Army. On July 22, 1991, he married Carol Hutchison. Raymond worked as a plumber for many years and retired from Weinkauf Plumbing and Heating. On May 7, 1971, she married James Ludwig.
