Ken Dragiewicz named to ACC Foundation

The Alpena Community College Foundation Board of Trustees appointed Ken Dragiewicz to its Board of Trustees during their Oct. 26 quarterly meeting.

Dragiewicz serves as vice president of Alpena Power Company and is a 1996 graduate of Alpena Community College.

He received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2003. He is the treasurer of the Thunder Bay Soccer Association and also a board member of the Thunder Bay Basketball Association.

Dragiewicz and his wife, Misty, reside in Alpena with their three children.

Established in 1982, the ACC Foundation is the official fundraising arm of the college and a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All contributions to the ACC Foundation go directly to support student scholarships, institutional programs, faculty and staff development, and facility improvements. The total assets managed by the ACC Foundation as of the end of fiscal year June 30, 2017 were $5,925,284.

The ACC Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees comprised of business and community leaders who oversee the foundation’s fundraising and investment management to insure that donors’ interests are met. Sue Fitzpatrick serves as president and Nancy Coombs as vice president.

Additional board members include Roger Bauer, Jim Boldrey, Teresa Duncan, Scott Foerstner, Rich Gillies, Beach Hall, Jackie Krawczak, Dennis Kruttlin, Suzii LaMarre LaCross, Mary L. Lappan, Max Lindsay, Dr. Don MacMaster, Augie Matuzak and Elaine Orr.
