Allen takes boys race; Alpena places 13th, 15th at Holly

DAVISBURG — Alpena High School junior Alexander Allen won his race Saturday at the 58th Annual Holly-Duane Raffin Festival of Races, covering the muddy, rain-soaked 5-kilometer course at Springfield Oaks County Park in 16 minutes, 14.1 seconds. The Wildcats boys placed 13th of 24 teams in their bracket. The girls finished 15th. Allen’s victory came in the last of 20 races on the day.
