Oscoda Owls JV boys’ basketball lose to Tawas Braves

Oscoda Owls JV boys' basketball team hosted the Tawas Braves on Friday and were defeated with a final score of 48-53. The Owls were led by Dustin Filipiak with 14 points and Reed Curley followed with nine points. Randey Eschenburg and Hunter Vincenty-Cole both added eight points, Zayne Altz contributed five, and Crue Weisenstein gained four. Oscoda will host Whittemore on Monday at Oscoda High School.

FAIRVIEW — The Hillman Tigers picked up a gritty conference win this week, defeating the Fairview Eagles 43-32. The win moves the Tigers to 5-10 overall (2-6 NSL). Madelyn Oswald led the way with a dominant 17-point performance, adding 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
