"It is incredibly rewarding to see the dedication, commitment and hard work these athletes have put into the season translate into success in the pool," Head Coach Jennifer Johnson said. "Watching swimmers continue to improve, achieve personal records, and support one another is what makes coaching so special. The success of this team is not measured by wins alone, but by the progress, determination, and team spirit displayed by every swimmer."
Johnson also credited Assistant Coach Elizabeth Jacques for her work on lineup decisions and event placements that helped maximize the team's depth.
With the final home meet complete, Alpena will travel to Standish-Sterling on Nov. 6 for a 5 p.m. meet before competing at the ISC Championships in Fenton on Nov. 7. The Wildcats will look to carry Thursday's momentum into the final stretch of the season.
