Wildcats swim team tops Alma

ALMA - The Alpena High School girls swimming team defeated Alma 108-60 on Tuesday in a dual meet.
Alpena took first in the opening 200-yard medley relay with Elizabeth Rabbideau, Penelope Conboy, Tryst Bukowiecki, and Haley Stenz. Olivia Sherwood, Gabriella Tolan, Eva Trainer, and Emma Darga placed third and set a personal record.
Arabella Nunez won the 200-yard freestyle. Jacquelyn Frantz finished second with a personal record.
Conboy won the 200-yard individual medley. Tolan and Sherwood also posted personal records.
Bukowiecki and Stenz went 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle. Bukowiecki also won the 100-yard butterfly. Nunez was second and Trainer third, both with personal records.
Stenz placed second in the 100-yard freestyle. Ellie Quick was third with a personal record and Emma Winfield finished fourth.
Rabbideau won the 500-yard freestyle. Tolan took third.
Alpena won the 200-yard freestyle relay with Conboy, Nunez, Stenz, and Bukowiecki. Quick, Winfield, Frantz, and Trainer placed second.
Rabbideau finished third in the 100-yard backstroke. Frantz won the 100-yard breaststroke with a personal record and Conboy was second.
Alpena placed second in the closing 400-yard freestyle relay with Winfield, Darga, Nunez, and Rabbideau. Quick, Sherwood, Lucy Duthler, and Frantz took third, with Frantz recording a personal record.
