HILLMAN - Hillman outlasted Oscoda in five sets Thursday, winning 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10 in a North Star League volleyball match.
The Tigers dropped a tight opening set, evened the match in the second, then fell behind two sets to one. Hillman responded with a 25-19 fourth set and closed the fifth 15-10.
Riley Cook led Hillman with 23 points, 11 kills, five aces, and 14 digs. Maddie Oswald had 17 points, 18 assists, five aces, and 14 digs. Abby Oswald added 21 points, five aces, five kills, and nine digs. Aubrey Weiland finished with six kills and 16 digs, and Brook Linseman had 11 points and four aces.
Hillman improved to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the North Star League.
The Tigers play in the Oscoda Invitational on Saturday and visit Alcona on Thursday.
