HILLMAN - Hillman won the opening set but could not hold off Alcona, falling in three sets in North Star League volleyball.
The Lady Tigers built a 20-12 lead in the first set before Alcona closed the gap. Hillman held on for a 25-21 win, then dropped the next two sets 18-25, 18-25.
Maddie Oswald led Hillman with 15 digs and nine assists. Aubrey Weiland added 14 digs and six kills. Abby Oswald had 13 digs and two kills. Riley Cook finished with 12 digs, three kills and three blocks. Brook Linseman had eight digs, two kills and three blocks.
Hillman is 6-9-2 overall and 1-1 in the North Star League. The Lady Tigers host Mio on Tuesday.
