AU GRES - Au Gres-Sims defeated Hillman 25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22 in a four-set North Star League girls' volleyball match Tuesday.
The Wolverines edged the Tigers in a match marked by long rallies and tight scores. Hillman dropped the opening set, then evened the match by taking the second 25-22. Au Gres-Sims closed out the final two sets 25-21 and 25-22.
Madelyn Oswald led Hillman with 15 digs and 13 assists. Abby Oswald had 15 digs, seven assists and three kills. Aubrey Weiland added 12 digs, five kills and four aces. Riley Cook finished with 11 digs and five kills, and Brook Linseman had three aces and three kills.
The loss dropped Hillman to 5-5 overall and 1-1 in North Star League play.
Hillman hosts Oscoda on Thursday, then travels to Oscoda on Saturday for the Oscoda Invitational.
