Alcona secures first win of the season

LINCOLN - Alcona earned its first win of the season Thursday, defeating Pellston 48-6 in eight-player football.

Kameron Owens rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and Adalai Liebler added 179 yards and one score. Lochlin Gordy ran for a touchdown and caught a 73-yard pass from Grady Goddard. Goddard threw three touchdown passes.

Owens, Goddard and Zach Hall each added two-point conversions.

The Tigers defense held a shutout for three quarters. Gavin Bittman led with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery. Gordy added eight tackles, while Henrik Healy, Liebler and Evan Gehring each had five. Michael Burnett intercepted a pass.

Alcona visits Charlton Heston Academy on Friday.
