ACC announces tickets on sale for third annual Lumberjack Legends Athletics Hall of Fame

ALPENA -- Tickets are now on sale for Alpena Community College's third annual Lumberjack Legends Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner, to be held Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Tim Fitzpatrick Family Computer Center Commons inside Besser Technical Center on the campus of Alpena Community College.
The annual event celebrates the student-athletes, coaches, teams, and supporters whose accomplishments have shaped the proud tradition of Lumberjacks athletics. This year, seven individuals and one championship team will be inducted into the Lumberjack Legends Athletics Hall of Fame.
The 2026 Lumberjack Legends inductees are:
• Dale Beard - Men's Basketball, 1978-1980
• Brittany Maki - Women's Softball, 2010-2012
• Bill Morse - Men's Basketball Coach, 1973-1977
• Hayley O'Meara - Women's Basketball, 2009-2011
• Jade Schultz - Women's Basketball & Softball, 2020-2023
• Gary Smith - Men's Baseball, 1965-1966
• Philip Straley - Men's Golf, 1966-1968
• 1976-77 Men's Basketball Team - Central Conference Champions
The Lumberjack Legends Athletics Hall of Fame was established to recognize those whose achievements, leadership, and lasting impact have left an enduring legacy at Alpena Community College. Through honoring notable Lumberjacks through the years, ACC seeks not only to honor athletic excellence, but also to preserve the stories and traditions that connect generations of ACC athletes, coaches, and supporters.
This year's class spans more than five decades of ACC athletics, from student-athletes who competed during the 1960s and 1970s to those who wore the Lumberjack uniform in recent years.
The Sept. 19 induction ceremony and dinner will bring together honorees, family members, former teammates and coaches, alumni, friends, and supporters of ACC athletics to celebrate the 2026 class and their contributions to the college.
