APlex hosts third annual Jim Park Open

ALPENA — Over Memorial Day weekend, the APlex hosted the third annual Jim Park Open sponsored by the BESSER Company of Alpena. The tournament produced numerous high level and competitive matches over the three-day event with over 40 different players from across the state playing in the nine different divisions.

“Alpena’s tennis community has such an amazing cross section of skills, ages, personalities and diversity that each day we are entertained by something new. We just greatly appreciate the continual support and look to continue this tradition for numerous years to come,” Aaron Pokorzynski, tournament director and head tennis pro of the APlex, said.
