Competing at the Xcel Gold level was Callie Brousseau, Lola Halleck, Alliyah Hagemeister, Ezra Peterson, Savanna Spangle, and Cece Weaver. Callie earned (second place) on floor, beam and in the all-around. Lola earned the following places; (first place) on the vault, and (second place) on bars. Alliyah earned (first place) on bars, floor, and the all-around in her age division. Ezra earned: (first place) on vault, and (second place) on bars. Savanna earned (second place) on vault, and bars. Cece earned (third place) on beam, and (fifth place) in the all-around.

Competing at the Xcel Silver level is Cailyn Burrone, Clare LaCross, Libby Misiak, and Abby Reinhardt. Cailyn earned (second place) on vault, and (fourth place) in the all-around. Clare earned (3rd place) on bars and (sixth place) all-around. Libby earned (first place) on beam, and (fifth place) on bars. Abby earned (sixth place) on beam, and (seventh place) on bars.

Competing at the Xcel Platinum level was Faith Dragiewicz, Grace Samp, Paige Samp, and Brooke Smith. Faith earned (first place) on vault, and (third place) on bars, floor and the all-around. Grace earned (second place) on vault, and (fifth place) all-around. Paige earned (first place) on vault and in the all-around. Brooke earned (fourth place) on vault, and (sixth place) in the all-around.

A special award was presented to Callie Brousseau. She was named the top Xcel Gold Gymnast of the year, with the highest all-around score throughout the 2021-22 season.

Savanna Spangle

The next stop for Alpena AAU gymnasts is Springfield, Illinois, for the National Championships. This meet will be held from June 29 to July 3.
