Panthers runners-up in LCAHL championship

Courtesy Photo The Alpena Panthers PeeWee AA hockey team finished runner-up over the March 19-21 weekend of the LCAHL championships. The team defeated Kalamazoo Friday, 2-0. Trevor Worth started the scoring with an assist from Sam Bastow and Owen Mischeloney finished the scoring with an assist from Trevor Worth. On Saturday, the team played undefeated Kensington Valley, At the end of regulation, the game was tied 2-2. Alpena scorers were Sean Bernard with assists from Joe Lacrosse and Skylar Cook. Adding the second goal was Skylar Cook with assists from Owen VanDusen and Parker Kaiser. Just 18 seconds into overtime Brody Misiak punched the Panthers’ ticket to the finals with a top shelf goal assisted by Sean Bernard and Skylar Cook. In the championship game, the Panthers fell 2-0 in a highly contested match versus Ann Arbor.
