The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday that the postseasons for volleyball and Lower Peninsula swimming and diving can resume Jan. 4.

Participants in both sports must be tested there times per week for COVID-19 using rapid tests created by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. To start practice, teams must complete one round of negative testing.

Volleyball will resume with the quarterfinals on Jan. 12, followed by the semifinals and finals on Jan. 14-15 and 16 in Battle Creek.

The swimming and diving finals will be held at three sites on Jan. 15-16.

Spectators will not be allowed at competitions in either sport.
