Jade Gray, right, was awarded the Playmaker Award and Top Server Award. Jade served with a 95% accuracy. Kate Skiba, left, was awarded the Top Defensive Player Award. Kate had the highest serve reception rating for the Wildcats and led the team in defensive digs. Kate also led the team in service aces. The 2020 Alpena volleyball team earned All-State Academic recognition with a 3.7 GPA team average. DeRocher, Gray, and Skiba earned Individual All-State Academic honors with cumulative GPA’s above 3.9. DeRocher was voted to the All Region Dream Team by the regional coaches. Skiba and Gray also earned All Region honors. Christin Sobeck was also recognized as Region 3’s Junior High Coach of the Year. DeRocher and Skiba were awarded second team honors in the Big North Conference.
