Bratislava, Slovakia–Emma Gentry is on the board.

The Alpena native lit the lamp at the 12:47 mark of the second period scoring the final goal in Team USA’s 3-0 win over Russia on Wednesday in the semifinals of the U-18 Women’s World Championship.

Gentry crashed the crease and deposited a rebound on a shot by Kirsten Simms past Russia goaltender Yulia Volkova.

Lyndie Lobdell and Lacey Eden added goals for Team USA, which will play Canada in the gold medal game on Thursday. The game will be streamed online at IIHF.com.

Gentry registered two shots on goal on Wednesday and finished +1 for the game.

Team USA reached the finals after preliminary round wins against Finland (4-1) and Russia (1-0) and a preliminary round loss to Canada (2-1) on Sunday.
