Strong running game leads Hillman in rout
HILLMAN–The Hillman football team ran over, under and through Bellaire’s defense on the way to a dominant 60-14 on Saturday at Hillman High School.
Sean Henigan ran for 183 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries and a banged-up Tigers squad ran for 542 rushing yards in the win, rebounding from a tough Week 5 loss to Mio.
For the game, Hillman had 542 rushing yards on 45 carries, an average of 12 yards a carry.
Nick Zimmer had 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 15 carries for Hillman (5-1) and Nash Steinke had 172 yards and a score on seven carries.
Defensively, Dawson Ableidinger led Hillman with seven total tackles and Steinke, Matt Armon and Zach Kazyaka each had six.
Hillman plays Pellston on Friday.
