Posen handles Atlanta
POSEN — The Posen football team took care of business on Friday as it welcomed Atlanta and earned a convincing 54-14 victory.
The Vikings (2-2) took control early and never looked back as they led 46-8 at halftime.
Tyler Hincka ran all over the Huskies as he led Posen with 259 yards on 19 carries and found the end zone four times. George Kroll was a perfect 4-for-4 passing with 54 yards and Eyan Hincka caught three passes for 39 yards.
Freshman Cole Krajniak added 62 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown.
Defensively, Eyan Hincka and Cameron Paull led Posen. Hincka had eight solo tackles, two assists and a fumble recovery and Paull also added eight tackles, one assist and recovered a fumble of his own.
“Our guys are improving as players and we’re improving as a team,” Posen coach Greg Pietsch said. “We’ve had some ups and downs this season, but that’s how you learn and it’s making us better. We’re having fun growing together as a team and as individuals.”
The Vikings will travel to Hale in Week 5.
Atlanta falls to 1-3.
In other local games, Rogers City fell to 0-4 after a 20-0 loss to Mancelona and Oscoda improved to 4-0 after a 50-0 win over West Unity (Ohio) Hilltop. Further information from both games was not available at press time.
