Alpena boys finish second at Swayze Relays

MIDLAND–The Alpena boys track team turned in another solid finish on Thursday, finishing second at the Swayze Relays.

First place finishers for the Alpena boys were:

2-Mile Relay: Drew Seabase, Jadon Duncan, Aden Smith, Josh Smith, 8:39.62

4-Mile Relay: Aden Smith, Josh Smith, Seabase, Jacob Kochanski, 18:12.05

Mid Distance Relay: Seabase, Cooper Bright, Kolton Goebel, Josh Smith, 5:58.72

100 Shuttle Hurdles: Zach Zaborney, Wenton Harrison, Ryan Voltz, Bradley Thompson, 1:10.04

Discus: George Pilarski, Sam Romero and Eli Winter.

Shot Put: Gabe Bullis, George Pilarski, Sam Romero and Eli Winter.

Long Jump: Jadon Duncan, Jake Schiller and Zach Zaborney.

Other top performers for the boys were:

High Jump–2. Schiller, Caleb Zaborney and Brad Thompson.

300 Hurdles–2. Harrison, Schiller and Zach Zaborney.

1,600 relay–3. Bright, Duncan, Kolton Goebel and Ryan Voltz.

Shot Put–4. Bullis, Pilarski, Romero and Winter.

Sprint Medley–4. Kody Bertrand, Dylan Fleck, Voltz and Bob Sheldon.

Individual first place finishers for the girls were:

1,600 Run: Maddy Boyd, 5:12.63

Four-mile relay: Boyd, Madi Szymanski, Molly Dickinson, Grace Mitchell, 22:37.04

Shot Put: Faith Weide, 37-10.50

Other top performers for the girls:

1,600 Run: 4. Szymanski, 5:22.51

Discus: 3. Weide, 102-10

Pole Vault: Karli Myers, 8-6
