The Thunder Bay Junior High boys track team defeated Gaylord on Thursday, 77-60.
Individual first place winners for Alpena were: Avery Burrone in the 3,200 run (12:31.2); Drew Seabase in the 1,600 run (5:11.77); Matt Fesler in the 100 dash (12.93) and 70 dash (9.30); Jadon Duncan in the 400 dash (59.1); Wenton Harrison in the 200 hurdles (32.18); Gabe Bullis in pole vault (8-6) and shot put (39-1 1/2); Bradley Thompson in the high jump (5-0) and Kelley Stark in the long jump (15-2).
Also taking first place points was the 1,600 relay team of Duncan, Seabase, Thompson and Lucas Manning (4:04.06); and the 400 relay team of Fesler, Manning, Stark and Eli Winter (54.7).
Second place points went to: Duncan in the 70 dash (9.53); Drew Booth in the 200 dash (29.55); Caleb Zaborney in the high jump (4-10) and Gage Tippman in the pole vault (7-6).
Other point scorers for Alpena were: Burrone in the 800 run (3rd, 2:33.76); Stark in the 70 dash (9.71); Bullis in the 200 dash (29.72) and Winter in the pole vault (7-6).
Thunder Bay will compete in the Bill Chase Invitational in East Jordan on Monday.
