“Every athlete who stepped on the platform represented months, sometimes years of dedication,” Johnson said in the release. “What makes this group special isn’t just winning medals; it’s watching women who had never before considered themselves to be athletes, discover their strength, confidence, and resilience through the training process and with the support of one another.”
Based in Alpena, SkellaFit Personal Training continues to expand its competitive powerlifting program, helping athletes progress from beginner lifters to national champions, according to the release. The SkellaFit Powerlifting Team will now shift focus toward the upcoming APF/AAPF World Powerlifting Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this November.
