Hillman Head Coach Eric Muszynski said sending out the seniors with a win at home was big and meant a lot to him because he has coached some of the players for many years.

“I’m really happy for my seniors tonight and they are a special group,” Muszynski said. “I’ve coached most of them from the third grade on and it was nice to send them out with a NSL championship.”

The win secured a fifth straight conference title for the Tigers.

“It was good for the program and the rest of the guys winning that fifth straight title,” Muszynski added. “Really looking forward to the state tournament.”

Hillman enters district play on Wednesday in Rogers City. Gametime is 7 p.m. Hillman has a bye and plays the winner of Onaway and Rogers City, who play on Monday.
