Hillman boys cruise to a lop-sided victory over Atlanta
The Hillman Tigers boy’s basketball team cruised to victory at home against the Atlanta Huskies 58-36 on Tuesday.
The Tigers would start slowly, leading 4-3 after the first three minutes.
After a timeout from head coach Eric Muszynski, the Tigers would conclude the first quarter with a 12-0 run and continued to extend their lead for the balance of the contest. The Tigers held a commanding 50-18 heading into the 4th quarter.
The win improves Hillman’s record to 16-2 overall and 9-1 in the North Star League.
Leading the way in scoring for the Tigers was junior Eddie Prue with 19 points. Senior Evan Crane would tally a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Xavier Nichols recorded a season high of 12 points, and junior guard Ty Muszynski would round the scoring out with eight points.
Seniors J.T. Witzke and Dylan Hiveley would add seven and six rebounds respectively in the win.
The Huskies’ leading scorers consisted of Quinton Miles with 14 points and Blake King with 13.

“I thought we played at an extremely high level for three quarters tonight,” Muszynski said. “The fourth quarter we let our guard down a little, but overall, it was a fun night with another balanced attack.”
