Hillman varsity girls fall to Hale

HILLMAN — The Hillman girl’s varsity basketball team improved its record to 4-4 overall on Tuesday following a 77-40 loss to a high-scoring Hale Eagles at home.

The result moves the Tigers to 1-3 in North Star League (NSL) Little Dipper play.

Despite the tough outcome, the Tigers saw strong individual performances across the board.

Madelyn Oswald led the way for Hillman, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Jenna Bahrke added eight points to the tally, while Kendall Gruschke contributed seven points and a team high six rebounds.

Hillman’s junior varsity girls basketball team had better success and remained undefeated on the season thanks to a dominant 43-10 victory over Hale.

The victory improves the junior varsity’s record to 7-0.

Raelyn Konieczny led the Tigers with 12 points and two rebounds, while Madelyn Tucker fueled Hillman’s effort with 10 points, eight rebounds, and six steals. Melodee Hartzell added seven points and three assists.
