Hillman varsity girls’ basketball team suffers loss to Atlanta
ATLANTA – The Hillman Tigers varsity girls’ lost to Atlanta on Friday with a final score of 36-44, placing them 4-6 overall in the North Star League (NSL).
Maci Klein led the Tigers’ scoring effort with nine points and three steals. Hillman saw a strong performance in the paint from Abigail Oswald, who grabbed 12 rebounds and scored seven points. Kendall Gruschke, also scored seven points and contributed nine boards.
In the first quarter, Hillman scored three points while Atlanta scored 12. In the second quarter, Hillman bounced back and scored eight points to Atlanta’s six, ending the quarter with a score of 11-22. In the third quarter, Hillman scored 12 points over Atlanta’s 10 points, going into the fourth quarter with a score 23-32. In the final quarter, Hillman scored 13 points while Atlanta scored 16 points, securing Atlanta a win.
Hillman looks to bounce back with two home games next week, hosting Posen today and AuGres on Thursday.
