Hillman girls basketball earn victories

LINCOLN — The Hillman varsity girl’s basketball team improved its season record to 3-3 after defeating Alcona 54-31 on Monday.

The Tigers’ offensive effort was defined by balance and efficiency. Maci Klein led the way with a team-high 12 points while adding six rebounds.

Rylee Lis was a force in the paint, finishing with 10 points and seven boards, while Abigail Oswald turned in a stellar all-around performance with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and five steals.

Madelyn Oswald scored with nine points, while contributing four rebounds, three steals, and a pair of assists in the victory.

The Hillman junior varietygirl’s team continued its dominant start to the season on Monday, as it secured a 30-8 victory over the Johannesburg Cardinals.

With the win, the Tigers improved their record to a perfect 5-0.

The Tigers’ defense was the story of the night, limiting the Cardinals to just single digits.

Offensively, Hillman was paced by a balanced attack led by Torri Brown and Abigail Oswald, who both scored 10 points.

Oswald also anchored the glass with seven rebounds and three steals, while Brown added three rebounds and two steals.

Ally Klein added four points and a pair of steals to round out the Tigers’ lead performances.
