HILLMAN – The Hillman Tigers varsity girls basketball team dropped its home opener to the Hale Eagles with a final score of 59-31 on Friday.

The Tigers’ loss drops their record to 1-1., while Hale improves to 2-0 for the young season.

Hillman was led in scoring by Maci Klein who scored 11 points, while pulling down four rebounds and adding three steals. Madelyn Oswald chipped in nine points, four rebounds, and three steals.

The Hillman girls junior varsity squad fared better than the varsity team, as it downed Hale 35-6.

Riley Cook led the way with eight points, 13 rebounds, and two assists, while Madelyn Tucker contributed eight points, 10 rebounds, and a whopping eight steals.

Abigail Oswald tallied six points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
