Hillman boys down Posen 70-57
HILLMAN- In an early season test between two undefeated teams, Hillman remained undefeated defeating Posen 70-57 at home in front of a packed house in Hillman on Thursday.
The game was fast paced and exciting with the first quarter ending in a 15-15 tie but after that the Tigers seized control and didn’t look back.
“Great atmosphere tonight and kudos to the community for coming out and supporting the boys,” head coach Eric Muszynski said. “It made a difference. We played with great intensity tonight defensively and we limited our turnovers. Our balanced attack was key once again.”
Hillman again had four players score in double figures with Ty Muszynski leading all scorers with a career high 26 points to go along with a career high seven three pointers. Aedan Tucker played outstanding, scoring 18 points and adding seven steals. Senior Forward Evan Crane was a stat sheet filler scoring 10 points, while adding 10 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists. Center Eddie Prue would score 16 points to go along with three blocks despite playing only three quarters. Hillman would make 13 three pointers total during the game.
Posen was led by Colton Paull with 13 points and Gavin Keller would chip in with 12 points.
Hillman improved to 6-0 and 2-0 in the North Star League.
