Gretchen Weiland commits to play softball at Alma

Gretchen Weiland, a senior at Hillman High School, committed to play softball at Alma College in the fall of 2026.

Weiland is a multi-sport All-State athlete for Hillman. For softball, She was is a pitcher on the Hillman varsity softball team making all-state, all-region and all-conference recognition for the past three seasons and was able to experience and make a run to the final four for the past two seasons for the Tigers.

She has made into the school history books with the most career shut outs and most strike outs in a single game at 19 strike outs.

Weiland also played for the Thundercat organization for eight years and won multiple tournaments and established friendships for life.
