Alpena 45ers have big plans for its Christmas game

The Alpena 45ers, 3-4, are hosting the Cheboygan Wendigo, 0-7, for a special Christmas themed game on Saturday at the Northern Light Arena in Alpena.
Besides the hockey game, there will be a lot of other things for people to do while at the game. Santa is expected to make an appearance at about 6:30 p.m., before the game begins at 7 p.m.
The game will also double as a toy drive that will help support the children in Northeast Michigan this holiday season. There will also be a teddy-bear toss, raffles, and the first 100 people through the doors will get a free corndog.
The team will be wearing special uniforms for this game, as they will mimic the Flint Michigan Tropics from the Will Ferrell movie Semi Pro.
Tickets are $10, but only $5 if a person brings a toy. It is $5 for students and children under 5-years old get in free.
