SkellaFit loads up on accolades

Rochester — SkellaFit Personal Training Studio traveled south this weekend to participate in the RPG Fall Classic Powerlifting Meet at Rochester Performance Gym. Every single member of Alpena’s Team SkellaFit Powerlifting who participated brought home honors. Fifty five men and women competed in this sold out competition that has become a destination for sanctioned lifting under the United Powerlifting Association.

“The RPG Fall Classic is one of our favorite meets of the year. It’s been an amazing place for our new lifters to get meet experience in a supportive environment, and this year it provided a great technical training ground for our lifters who will be competing at World Championships in South Africa.” said SkellaFit Personal Training Owner Cristi Johnson
Traverse City Powerlifting Club also presented Team SkellaFit Powerlifting a $100 cash prize for the “Most Hype Lift” Award.
“We love to bring the hype,” said Team SkellaFit Powerlifter Katie Jones, “and this community allows us to let our natural hype shine.”
Team SkellaFit Powerlifting will leave Alpena for Durban, South Africa on October 31st to participate in the WPC World Championships as 7 of the 15 lifters representing Team USA. “The support we have received from the community has been just remarkable. Knowing we have our hometown backing us absolutely fuels us to bring home a win for Team USA and Alpena, Michigan.”
