The Alpena High School cross country teams competed in the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational on Friday.

The Wildcat boys placed ninth out of 27 teams and the girls 21st of 33 Division 1 teams.

Xander Allen and Logan Szumila were medal winners for the boys, placing fourth and 24th, respectively. Izzy Szymanski and Abigail Misiak led the girls.
