The 15th Annual Thunderstruck Softball Tournament, hosted by the Alpena Thundercats Softball teams, was held on July 25 and 26 in Alpena. The tournament included 31 teams from all over Michigan.

In the 16U/18U division, the MI Bolts Gauthier 18U team from Linwood beat the Saginaw Golds 18U team 13-5 to win their division.

In the 14U division, the Thundercats Kamyszek 14U team from Alpena beat the O’Connor 14U team 3-2 in the final game to take first place in the 14U division.

In the 12U division, the Thundercats Prevo 12U team from Alpena took first place with a record of 4-0 for the weekend, beating the MBS Jets 11U in the final game with a score of 16-6.

In the 10U division, the Lady Bandits from Sanford took first place with a record of 3-1, beating the Thundercats Riopelle team in the final game.
