Schultz, Crane named Hillman Athletes of the Year

HILLMAN — Cuyler Schultz and Hannah Crane were recently honored as Hillman High School Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
Schultz was a two-sport star in baseball and basketball. In both sports he has etched himself in the record books, breaking the single season RBI record as well as ranking second in assists per game, third in assists in a season, and ninth in career assists for basketball. Cuyler was also All-Conference in both sports and earned seven varsity letters. He was a member of three conference championship teams in both basketball and baseball. He was also a part of two district championships and a regional in basketball.
Crane was a three-sport star in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was a multi-sport All-Conference selection as well as All-District in softball. Crane earned nine varsity Letters during her high school career. In softball she was a part of four conference championships, three districts, two regionals, and a Final-Four. On the hardwood, Crane added three conferences and a district to her resume.
Hillman High School Athletic Director Eric Muszyski said, “Both athletes are well-deserving of this award. What I’m impressed most with both Cuyler and Hannah is their work ethic and dedication to athletics. I also liked the fact that they both sacrificed individual goals for team accomplishments!”
Athlete of the Year is selected by the Hillman varsity coaches.
