Air concerns at Sanborn Township meetings

In Sanborn Township on Nov. 5, Election Day, 258 electors voted for a change of township supervisor who wanted to improve communications between the township board and all interested voters by making accessibility to taping of meetings or live interactive online access. Especially important is traffic control signals around the school location to provide a safer crossing for students and staff. To improve street lighting along Main Street. Now is the time for all good men (women) to come to the aid of their party and so it was! Holy moly, God’s got this. Donald Trump was saved to finish the job. They broke it, he’ll fix it! I come from a middle-class, Christian family, worked three jobs (not McDonald’s), and bought a house as a single parent. Stay vigilant for threats to Onaway schools

Dear Editor, To the voters for the Onaway Area Community Schools Board of Education: THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We look forward to positive years ahead. However, we will remain vigilant in identifying any threat and confronting that threat to our school community. Saturday commentary was surely excellent

I believe that the editorial on Saturday was nothing short of excellent. You described the situation we find ourselves in, painting the picture in stark but accurate colors. We have lost the truth in many areas of our public discourse and somehow, accepted it!! As you stated, “We have to stop it,” and seek the truth by asking for — demanding — sources and facts and calling out statements when sources and facts are missing. We need to march together as Americans

We as a people have a Constitution that has kept our country together. Many lives fought and died. They all had one goal: Protect our people, our country, and our constitution. We were, “All for one and one for all!” We as a whole were not a divided country. We did not have as many divisions as we have now. This division has been enhanced by the media and social media — something that was not around to influence our citizens in the past. Our cemeteries that are full of our soldiers who fought and died for our country were Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Catholics, Baptists, ...

A concern for free press and its subscribers

Observations from previous letters: To the person concerned with lies, Donald Trump lied over 35,000 times while in office and has not stopped. Then the story about immigrants possibly being bused to Alpena. If a busload of immigrants showed up in Alpena, it would have been sent by a Republican governor. Finally, the story of concern for a fair and balanced paper that could impact subscriptions, The Alpena News acts like the Alpena chapter of the Enquirer, catch and kill with possible sprinkling of cowardice and silence.
