On Wednesday, July 29, Dr. Anthony Fauci 'testified' in front of a congressional committee about his actions during the 2020-2022 Covid pandemic. If you are a reader of the Alpena News and didn't get to watch the hearing that morning, you might not know that the hearing was held. The News' editions of Thursday through today, Monday August 3, did not include a single news article about the hearing.
Today, Monday, August 3, the editorial page finally contained a column by Tim Graham titled “Journalists want to bury their fawning friendship with Fauci". In the column he detailed how the media enabled Fauci to foist lockdowns, mask wearing, and distancing on the greater public by the likes of George Stephanopoulos, Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper, and other media personalities. The sources that feed the content to the Alpena News are right there with those three deciding what we can see and spinning what we can see as they see fit.
Fauci took the Fifth Amendment 111 times. He refused to answer any question, including 'what is today's date'. Senator Rand Paul released the contents of Fauci's diary, which Fauci was stupid enough to compile on a government computer & server, that detailed his close relationship with the media and celebrities, his quest for fame, and his acknowledgement that what he was telling the public about Covid was different than what he knew. He knew masking, lockdowns, vaccines, and distancing were ineffective, yet he kept pushing them on us. Fame was more important to him than properly guiding the country through Covid.
Media was complicit with what was done to us during that time, and it extends into our local news sources. Keep your eyes and ears open. Today's news media monopoly is trying to keep us uninformed and ignorant.
