APS lost control of their board meeting Monday

APS should be ashamed of the example they set for their own students attending the last board meeting.

Anna Meinhart and David Rabbideau lost control of the meeting by allowing clapping, cheering, booing, and even allowing personal attacks regarding board members by calling out school board members by profession, as reported in this paper.

It never should have been allowed in the first place, and now, with the paper verbatim repeating the attack, it has gone out to the entire community.

Last year, when I began to speak at a board meeting about a specific board member, David Rabbideau popped up and stopped me mid-sentence and informed me about their policy, which I was unaware of.

When one of the raucous attendees made their personal attack, both said nothing. If AJ MacArthur had not called Anna and David out, there would have been no mention or complaint.

You should watch the YouTube recording of the meeting and listen to the wishy-washy answers both gave for not enforcing APS board rules after AJ called them out.

I find their actions, Monday night, actively supporting the liberal rowdy attendees, to be totally inappropriate, and their inability to fairly apply the policy of the school board is cause for being terminated from their positions.

I also publicly request Sheriff Eric Smith to have at least two deputy sheriffs remove people who are not being polite. They should attend each meeting until the board can demonstrate consistent control of public meetings.

The intimidation that has occurred at the meeting is also all over Facebook, and they are attacking board members and their businesses viciously.

Alpena deserves better from its school system, and changes need to be made.
