For all of my life, America has been the leader of the free world. America along with the other democratic countries fought and defeated Hitler’s attempt to dominate the world. America’s leadership was instrumental in a post-war rebuild of Europe to ensure free world stability. America led the free world opposing Soviet efforts to expand their autocratic/dictatorial influence and control around the world. Ronald Reagan (1988 State of the Union Address) proudly spoke of America, the “Shining City on a Hill.” America became that, more so, because of our aid to nations in need, our quick response with disaster relief, etc.

In just a few short weeks, Trump and his band of cruel men have extinguished the light. They have aligned our country with a holdover from the old Soviet-era KGP, Putin! He is not our friend, he is our enemy. The autocratic/dictatorial influence on Trump is evident as well as the desire to expand an empire with Greenland, Canada, Panama, and then the Trump Resort World in Gaza. The whole world is watching in disgust. I stand with the free world and Ukraine.
