Mr. Halleck, in the Oct. 28 Alpena News letter to the editor, you used pretty nasty language to describe President Donald Trump. You also said, “We must bring down the hate.” Your letter resembled the very essence of hate. You also said in your ending to vote for Kamala Harris/Tim Walz. “What have you got to lose?”

Well, I’ll tell you what.

First of all, our southern border, where millions of illegals have passed. Over 40,000 Chinese nationals and several hundreds of thousands of murderers and rapists. Vice President Harris under Joe Biden also ruined our energy sector. Created the worst inflation since Jimmy Carter and has the worst crime stats possible in many of our sanctuary states and cities. I could go on but space is limited.

As for Jan. 6, President Trump told the demonstrators to go to the Capitol building in a peaceful manner. It is proven by the news coverage on that day. The day before, he contacted then-House speaker Nancy Pelosi to have the National Guard ready in case things got out of hand. Which she didn’t do and lamented not doing it afterward.

Now to the big lie. Project 2025 is not endorsed by Trump. He has said so many times. It was the product of the right wing think tank, the Heritage Foundation. Do your research! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We are on the cusp of World War III because of the feckless and weak results of the Biden/Harris foreign policies. The USA is a laughing stock to our enemies and friends around the world. Vote Trump if you want world peace and American strength back!
