Spring is here. As a snowbird returning to her roots of Alpena soon, I’m looking forward to this season once again. I have experienced so many springs. As usual I am still thrilled by its arrival. No matter if its coming is dragged out or immediate, I can count on the season of spring year after year. I plan for it.

I love experiencing the firsts of spring. One is being invigorated by taking in its distinct sharp air. It’s thrilling to hear the first faint cawing of the migratory crows and to see the flutter of ordinary robins. Also sighting the first crocuses and lively yellow daffodils brings a smile. Soon I know I will be digging in the cold hardened earth to prepare the flower beds for new plants and free up older ones. New buds will be seen while pruning the garden. Yes, spring is special. By it, I can easily see God’s fingerprints.
