Grateful for the support from Alpena County
To the Constituents of District 8 and Alpena County,
On Jan. 24, I had the great privilege to be appointed as the District 8 County Commissioner. Although I have held this position for the past 6 years, the appointment was a very special moment for my family and I.
I want to take the time to say I’m grateful to everyone that provided a letter of support for me as I looked to be appointed. Those letters served as a reminder that you believed I have been doing the job that was expected of me. As I prepared for the interview, I met with constituents and was grateful to have received over 130 signatures from residents within the district that believed in the good work I was doing and plan to continue. I’m also grateful to everyone that showed up in the Howard Male Conference Room on the 24th in support of my appointment. I truly appreciate the time that was sacrificed from your busy schedules to show your support.
Lastly, I’m grateful for each person that got up to speak on my behalf during the meeting. That was one of the most humbling moments of my life. The reason I do what I do is to make sure that our county moves in the right direction. I promise to continue to work in the best interest of the people of District 8 and Alpena County. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this process.
JOHN J. KOZLOWSKI,
District 8 Alpena County
Commissioner
