Two recent articles by far-left columnist Jamie Stiehm in the Alpena News stated that the Jan. 6, 2020 incident at the Capitol was perpetrated by ‘armed mobs’. In her most recent column (2/20/23) she states ‘Thousands came armed in force to the Capitol the day democracy almost died’. Only one person was killed that day. A petite White woman who was killed by a black trigger-happy Capitol cop. News Editor, Justin Hinkley, refuses to correct Stiehm’s untrue claims.

Jeffrey Brasie in his Feb. 20 column threw in his support toward 2nd Amendment restrictions. As all Fudds, he ‘supports the Second Amendment, BUT….’. Brasie supports computerized background checks for ALL gun sales or transfers with a waiting period before your transfer is final. Registration in other words. Brasie wants the sales of ‘military-grade’ firearms to cease. By that he means semi-automatic firearms such as your AR; your SIG, Beretta, FN, and H&K handguns. All of those are ‘military grade’ as they have been used by our armed forces in combat, EXCEPT the AR rifle. Soon they will start defining your scoped deer rifle as a ‘Sniper Rifle’ and you will find out what Brasie and crowd have in store for you.

To stop mass shootings, we need to focus on the mentally unfit in society and get them the help they need. Eliminate illegal and legal drugs that make people mental zombies. We need to challenge the judicial and legislative systems that focus only on people that are responsible and follow the laws. We have Soros funded liberal judges and prosecutors that reduce criminal sentences and put people back on the street that should be locked up. Brasie states that ‘Thoughts, prayers don’t help’. Neither do the mental health care industry, the legislative and judicial systems, nor the media.
