Where’s the coverage of Peninsula Fund?
The current investigation of alleged irregularities in “The Peninsula Fund” has been called one of the biggest potential scandals in Michigan history, Current candidate for the Michigan legislature, Cam Cavitt, was an officer of the fund during the time of alleged improprieties. Yet I have read no coverage of the ongoing investigation here.
Cavitt claims to have been unaware of the problems. At the Presque Isle Republican candidate forum before the primary, Cavitt was questioned about his role with the fund. He implied he wasn’t even really aware he was affiliated with the fund (https://youtu.be/C7qjpEZMMXM) As an officer of a nonprofit board, Cavitt had a legal obligation and responsibility for any potential irregularities.
I am making no accusations of any wrongdoing. I have no background to do so, other than articles from Detroit papers. While the conclusion of these investigations is not known at this point, your readers need to know the investigations are ongoing before the election. Where is the coverage?
