In the Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 edition, in the article titled Several Competitive Races Across Alcona County, written by James Andersen, Assistant Managing Editor, it states “Turek could not be reached for comment”. I can say this is completely false. I have never received a call from either the Alpena News or James Andersen himself.

I have had a business in Alcona County for 22 years so my personal contact information as well as my business contact information is completely visible to even the most beginning reporter. It is truly sad that this is what qualifies for news these days and that a prospective board member is not contacted for their thoughts on running for school board. Shame on you.
