Alan Curtis is best choice for Alpena County
A good judge is knowledgeable, practical, compassionate, efficient, patient, thoughtful, creative, curious, well-prepared and, above all else, respectful of both the judicial system and the parties appearing in court. This November, voters will have to choose between two candidates for Alpena County Probate Judge and the best choice is clear.
I practiced law with Alan Curtis for just over four years. In that time, I knew him to be a strong advocate for our clients while maintaining unquestioned integrity and credibility. In the year that he’s been on the bench, he has embodied all the qualities of a good judge. I have seen his commitment to fairness to all parties who appear before him. I have watched him treat the people that come into his courtroom with respect and common decency without exception. And I have observed him to be thoroughly prepared, displaying a strong understanding of the law and the rules of evidence.
Alan Curtis should continue in the role of Probate Judge, but don’t just take my word for it. I encourage voters to ask around — ask a lawyer, a police officer, a court staff member, a former juror, an individual who appeared in his courtroom, or any other person who has had professional contact with the candidates. Their collective answer will be resounding: Vote to keep Alan Curtis as Alpena County Probate Judge this November.
