Disappointed by recent Festival of Sail cost
Just wanted to say how disappointed I was with this year’s Festival of Sail, held at the Maritime Heritage Center. It’s wonderful that the ships come to Alpena, but the residents who enjoy seeing them were not able to get up close and see them or able to interact with the crew because of the $20 cost to just walk down the sidewalk and see these extraordinary ships. In the past, it never cost anything to be able to walk around and mingle with the people and crews of the ships. Maybe in the future, things will change.
