A requiem for the United States of America
I was not concerned when Donald Trump became our President. The Republican Party could hold him in constraint.
But, much to my chagrin, there was a new bully in town, and all the adults had left the room. President Donald Trump soon took total control of all three branches of the United States Government: the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial.
Now, looking back to my boyhood, all I can say is ‘The Ten Commandments as recited from my Luther’s Catechism are no longer a substantive element of American political science.
