Love for all four seasons

It's fall. I love the fall; I live here because I love living through all the seasons.

My family has just lived through a tragedy that hurt all of us. This tragedy proved how valuable the love of family and friends are. I would not be standing up if not for being held up by loved ones. My love of trees and green stuff still makes my life full. A pet also understands grief and is there to comfort us.

In as much as I enjoy looking out my window to see red and yellow leaves, I know soon, I will be looking out at snow. Snow has its own beauty.

Once I was young enough to build snowmen and have snowball fights. Now I sit in front of the window with the fireplace going on and sometimes take a nap. I quite appreciate a long couch, a pillow and a warm blanket. I turn the TV on for company and frequently fall asleep only to miss the ending of the program. Old age can be made to work.

In my opinion, northern Michigan is the best place to grow old.

All of you out there join me in thanking God for where we live. So I say; May you find peace and love in this beautiful world.
