Seek joy in the small things

As time goes by, I lose more and more friends, family, and loved ones.

When great sorrow came, it always seemed to shatter all gladness there had been, but that was a false seeming. Somewhere in the heart and mind, the gladness was still there.

Does sorrow so often seem the stronger, because people dwell on it? We must turn to the gladness there had been, and hold onto it wholeheartedly.

We are made for joy. This is a beautiful world. Thank you, Mother Nature.

As I drove past a flock of 17 wild turkeys, they were having as much fun as a flock of Association of Lifelong Learners have at a program. Join them.

I’ve seen a few geniuses in my life; mostly 2-year-olds who have figured out how to manipulate their parents.

A TV remote control is a perfect example of inspired brilliance. Walking to the television to change the channel is a nightmare I have no desire to relive.
